VIDEO | Autostrada Transilvania: Două loturi de aproape 55 km ar putea lega Biharia de Suplacu de Barcău până la finalul anului
Two segments of the Transylvania Highway (A3), totaling nearly 55 kilometers, are set to open by the end of this year. The sections include Suplacu de Barcău – Chiribiș (26.35 km) and Chiribiș – Biharia (28.55 km). The completion of these segments will ensure continuous access from Biharia to the southeast, currently limited to a short stretch. The Suplacu de Barcău – Chiribiș section is expected to be operational by December 1, 2026, with over 90% of the work completed. The Chiribiș – Biharia segment is 78% finished, with significant progress reported. Both projects are crucial for the A3's connectivity in western Romania, with funding from the European Transport Program 2021-2027.
