The construction of the mountain section of the A1 Sibiu-Pitești highway is advancing with innovative engineering technologies. The project includes the launch of a metal deck on a high viaduct and the use of various specialized construction methods. The highway is crucial for connecting Muntenia and Transylvania, enhancing Romania's economic development. Current progress shows 12.6% completion for section 2 and 15% for section 3, with expected completion dates set for 2028. Two other sections have already been opened to traffic, with ongoing work on three sections of the highway.
