Construction on sections 3 and 4 of the future Sibiu – Făgăraș Highway is progressing well, with significant workforce and machinery mobilized. Section 3, spanning 17.61 km, is 51.09% complete, while section 4, measuring 16.27 km, is at 36.26%. The Turkish contractor Makyol is engaged in various tasks including earthworks and bridge construction. The total value of contracts for these sections is 2.96 billion lei, funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027. Overall, the project aims to connect Sibiu and Făgăraș with a strategic highway, expected to be completed by 2028.
