This year, at least 50 kilometers of the Moldova Highway (A7) are expected to be opened for traffic, according to Irinel Ionel Scrioșteanu, Secretary of State in Transport. The construction group led by Dorinel Umbrărescu has mobilized a record 5,500 workers for the Bacău-Pașcani section. The first two lots of this section are nearing completion, with Lot 1 over 70% finished and Lot 2 close to that mark. Key activities include asphalt laying, installation of concrete beams, and construction of drainage systems. A maintenance and coordination center will also be established near Roman. The project is funded by European sources.
