The construction progress of the Răcăciuni – Bacău section of the A7 Moldova Highway has reached 84%, with 1,000 workers and 400 machines on site. Director Cristian Pistol announced the status on Facebook, highlighting key structures like the Cleja and Nicolae Bălcescu railway overpasses, which are at 90% and 95% completion, respectively. Traffic will be temporarily closed at Bacău Sud for final connections starting August 17. The project, valued at 1.673 billion lei, is funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Romania aims to have 397 km of highway operational by the end of August, crucial for maintaining European funding.
