The Iași Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges reports significant construction activity on the A7 Bacău-Pașcani highway, with temporary traffic restrictions in place. Daily, 4,000 to 5,000 workers and numerous heavy machinery are mobilized across three lots. The Bacău-Sud junction is ready for connection to the Bacău bypass, with ongoing work on road safety features. The Bacău bypass will be closed from August 17, 2026, for integration with new highway sections. Completion deadlines for the highway sections are set for August and December 2026, with a focus on meeting European funding requirements.
