Construction on Lot 1 of the A0 Nord highway has reached 82% completion, with ongoing work on asphalt, service areas, and safety installations. The project, managed by a Romanian-Italian consortium, employs around 780 workers and over 370 machines. Despite progress, the section between Corbeanca and Buftea is not yet ready for traffic due to pending tasks like road signage and barriers. The completion deadline is set for the end of this year, but weather conditions may affect this timeline. Realistically, full connections to DN1A and DN7 might not be ready until 2026, while the link to A1 is expected to be completed by April 2027. The contract value is approximately 815 million lei, funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027.
