The transport of components for the TBM that will drill the Poiana tunnel on the Sibiu-Pitești highway has begun. The TBM's cutter head, weighing 131 tons and measuring over 6 meters in diameter, was loaded for transport. It will depart from Călărași to the construction site at 10 PM, following a specific route. Once on-site, the components will be assembled to create a final diameter of 12.5 meters for the tunneling shield. The entire transport process will involve over 100 oversized transports.
