The lighting system on Section 4 of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway is completed, with ongoing functionality tests announced by CNAIR. These tests cover the entire sector, including bridges, tunnels, and the Tigveni junction. The Curtea de Argeș tunnel, Romania's first highway tunnel, is equipped with advanced monitoring systems and AI-based cameras for traffic safety. The project is managed by PORR Construct SRL, with a contract duration of 60 months and a total value of 1.678 billion lei, funded by the Transport Program 2021-2027, with a contractual opening deadline set for 2027.
