The second tunnel gallery of Boița 1 on the A1 Sibiu-Pitești highway has been completed, with construction progressing on other tunnels as well. The Turkish contractors have finished both galleries of Boița 1, with interior works now at 45.11% completion. Other tunnels, Balota and Robești, are also under construction, with varying progress levels. Currently, 708 workers and 162 machines are active on the site, but overall progress is limited to 16% due to pending environmental agreements. The project includes seven tunnels using the NATM method and is financed through the Transport Program.
