The Secretary of State for Transport, Irinel Ionel Scrioșteanu, showcased new images from Romania's first highway tunnel, Curtea de Argeș, which may open this month. The tunnel is part of the A1 Sibiu-Pitești section and is currently undergoing testing for safety systems. The project, constructed by PORR, is funded by the European Union and has a contract value of 1.678 billion lei. The expected completion date is set for 2027.
