The tunnels between Margina and Holdea have been fully pierced, marking a significant milestone for the Lugoj-Deva section. The 1,985 m and 1,825 m tunnels are the longest highway tunnels in Romania. After two years of continuous work with 900 workers, the most challenging phase is complete. Physical progress exceeds 75%, with concrete lining advancing 20 meters daily. Following the complete concrete work, safety installations will be tested. By mid-next year, uninterrupted highway travel from Boița to Nădlac will be possible, covering over 360 km, finally realizing a long-awaited project.
