Cristian Pistol, the General Director of CNAIR, reported that the construction of the A0 Nord highway's first lot is 82% complete, but the section between Corbeanca and Buftea is not yet ready for traffic. The Romanian-Italian consortium Retter – Pizzarotti is managing the project with around 780 workers and over 370 machines on site. Ongoing works include asphalt laying, service area construction, and installation of safety features. Pistol emphasized that completion by the end of the year depends on weather conditions, with realistic expectations set for full operational readiness by 2026. The contract for this section is valued at 815.07 million lei, funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027.
