Nightly rail traffic is temporarily halted on Lot 1 of the A0 Nord Highway for the installation of massive beams for a future 733-meter overpass. The operations occur between midnight and 3 AM, allowing the positioning of three beams each night. The 17.5 km Lot 1 connects the A1 highway to DN1, passing through several localities in Ilfov and Giurgiu counties. The project is progressing, with a physical completion of about 70%, and aims to open by the end of the year. A temporary traffic solution is needed for the Mogoșoaia area, as the final roundabout will not be ready in time. The contract for Lot 1 is valued at over 815 million lei, funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027.
