VIDEO | Apele Române: Scufundarea primelor două barje pe brațul Bala a durat 11 ore. Dunărea ar putea crește de săptămâna viitoare
The National Administration 'Apele Române' announced the completion of the sinking procedure for the second barge on the Bala Arm. The operation took about five hours per barge, with controlled flooding achieved through water pumping. The two barges are positioned 500 meters from the Bala Arm entrance and will create artificial thresholds to redirect water flow. The Danube's flow remains stable at around 1,400 cubic meters per second, with a slight increase expected due to rainfall in the upper basin. Currently, the water level at Cernavodă is decreasing, but a stabilization trend has been noted since August 11.
