VIDEO | A1: Tunelurile dintre Margina și Holdea au fost străpunse în totalitate

The tunnels between Margina and Holdea on the A1 Sibiu-Pitești highway have been fully pierced, marking a significant milestone for the Lugoj-Deva section. The tunnels, measuring 1,985 m and 1,825 m, are the longest highway tunnels in Romania. The project involved two years of continuous work with 900 workers and has now surpassed 75% physical completion. Concrete lining is progressing at 20 meters per day, and the first asphalt layer is being laid on several sections. By mid-next year, drivers will be able to travel uninterrupted from Boița to Nădlac over a distance of more than 360 km.
