The Margina-Holde tunnel project has reached a significant milestone with the completion of tunneling. The two tunnels, measuring 1,985 m and 1,825 m, are the longest highway tunnels in Romania. Over 900 workers have been involved in the project, which is now over 75% complete. The next steps include finalizing the concrete lining and installing safety systems. The highway section will connect Boița to Nădlac, covering over 360 km, with the missing 9 km finally being constructed after a decade of delays. The total cost of the project is 1.82 billion lei, excluding VAT.
