Cristian Pistol, director of CNAIR, announced the completion of the second gallery of the Boița 1 tunnel, with ongoing work on the interior lining. The first gallery was completed in July 2023. Other tunnels, Balota and Robești, are also under construction, with varying progress levels. Currently, 708 workers are on site, but work is limited due to missing environmental agreements and construction permits. The entire section spans 31.33 km and includes seven tunnels built using the NATM method, with a total contract value of 4.25 billion lei.
