A drone explosion at a bus station used by personnel of the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant resulted in one death and several injuries. The IAEA reported this incident as the most severe faced by the plant since the onset of the Ukraine conflict. The explosion occurred early Tuesday, injuring 16 individuals, including three in critical condition. The plant, under Russian control since March 2022, has been frequently targeted, raising concerns about potential nuclear disasters. IAEA Director Rafael Grossi urged military leaders to cease such dangerous actions that threaten nuclear safety.
