Lațcău reportedly collided with a tram while driving a vehicle belonging to the Municipal Roads Company. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and emergency services were not called. Lațcău emphasized that the city's projects will continue, with significant funding contracts already signed. Fritz, who served nearly six years, criticized the legal changes that led to his removal, claiming they were politically motivated. He urged citizens to remain engaged and continue supporting the ongoing initiatives in Timișoara.
