Vicepreședintele Parlamentului European, Victor Negrescu, mobilizează sprijin politic pentru protejarea fondurilor europene esențiale: „România nu își permite să piardă bani europeni”
Victor Negrescu, Vice President of the European Parliament, is rallying political support to protect essential EU funds for Romania ahead of the European Council and budget negotiations for 2028-2034. Over 50 MEPs from 13 member states signed a joint letter urging the Irish Presidency of the EU Council to maintain funding for agriculture and cohesion. This initiative aligns with a resolution approved by the leaders of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, which emphasizes investment in education, health, and housing. The letter warns that cuts to cohesion and agricultural funding would harm less prosperous regions and local communities. The resolution outlines ten negotiation priorities, including a strong Common Agricultural Policy and dedicated funding for social programs and housing.
