A proposed measure supported by all parliamentary parties aims to allow bank cardholders in Romania to withdraw any desired amount from ATMs without preset limits. Currently, many ATMs restrict users to predefined withdrawal amounts, which is not due to technical limitations but rather interface configurations. This restriction forces users to select from fixed values, even when they can withdraw their desired amount. Additionally, users often incur fees when withdrawing from ATMs of other service providers, yet they lack the option to specify the exact amount they wish to withdraw.
