The Pro Infrastructura Association announced that 42.3 kilometers of highway connecting Poarta Salajului and Nadasel could be open by December, allowing access to Targu Mures. Following the recent inauguration of the Zimbor-Poarta Salajului section, there is optimism that construction delays will be resolved ahead of schedule. The contractor UMB has faced challenges, but work continues on critical areas. The project has been ongoing since 2020, with various phases of construction and design still in progress, aiming for completion by March 2027.
