Vești surprinzătoare pentru biodiversitatea globală. Omenirea este mai aproape de un obiectiv major
A new study suggests that humanity may be closer to achieving the global biodiversity conservation goal for 2030 than previously thought. Researchers found significant areas dedicated to biodiversity conservation not included in official statistics. Approximately 27% of the Earth's land may already be under some form of conservation, indicating that the international target of protecting 30% of terrestrial and marine areas by 2030 could be more attainable. However, many habitats remain inadequately protected, and simply designating areas as conservation zones does not ensure biodiversity protection. Effective management and connectivity of protected areas are crucial for positive outcomes.
