Vești proaste pentru economia României. BERD vede scădere în 2026 și avertizează că riscurile persistă • Newsweek România
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) forecasts a 0.2% decline in Romania's economy for 2026, following a modest growth of 0.7% in 2025. High inflation, weak external demand, and fiscal uncertainties pose significant risks. The first half of 2026 saw a 0.8% annual contraction in GDP, with industrial production down by 4.6%. However, construction projects funded by EU resources showed positive growth. Inflation remains the highest in the EU, with a rate of 6.3% in August. Despite these challenges, EBRD anticipates a gradual recovery in the second half of 2026, driven by household consumption and investment, although risks remain predominantly negative.
