The Romanian Chamber of Deputies has approved a law that introduces more lenient traffic rules for motorcyclists and moped riders. Key changes include allowing these vehicles to use public transport lanes under certain conditions and enabling them to maneuver between stationary vehicles at traffic lights, provided they maintain a safe speed. A new safety space for motorcycles and mopeds will be created at intersections and railway crossings. Local authorities will also be required to designate parking spaces for these vehicles and consider safety zones and bike lanes where necessary. The law passed with a significant majority, having previously been approved by the Senate.
