Veste bună pentru firme: Guvernul a prelungit termenul de actualizare a codurilor CAEN până în martie 2027

The Romanian government has extended the deadline for updating CAEN codes to March 25, 2027, allowing businesses more time to comply. Only 37.24% of professionals had updated their activities by the previous deadline. The transition period aims to prevent administrative bottlenecks and ensure better economic data collection. Companies are encouraged to update their codes sooner rather than later to facilitate accurate reporting to Eurostat. The new CAEN Rev. 3 classification will be in effect from March 2025, with the initial transition period set at 18 months.
