Verdict final așteptat astăzi în procesul ÎCCJ-Guvern. Miza: restanțe salariale de 1 miliard de euro

The final verdict in the case where the High Court of Cassation and Justice sued the Government for unpaid salary arrears is expected today. The Supreme Court has postponed the decision three times so far. In May, the Bucharest Court of Appeal ruled in favor of the High Court, ordering the government to pay the magistrates' arrears within ten days, with penalties for delays. The state owes nearly 1 billion euros in salary arrears to magistrates, following a series of lawsuits. The Government has contested the ruling, questioning the constitutionality of judicial mandates for budget allocations. A parallel constitutional conflict has also been raised with the Constitutional Court regarding the authority over public funds distribution.
