Verdict după șase ani într-o anchetă în care unul dintre cei mai vocali procurori din România a fost cercetat pentru mai multe infracțiuni
The Bucharest Court of Appeal has closed a six-year investigation into military prosecutor Bogdan Pîrlog, who was accused of multiple offenses. The court concluded that "the act does not exist," leading Pîrlog to claim the case was intentionally delayed for ulterior motives. The investigation began in 2020 after a self-referral, with accusations including abuse of office and fraud related to travel reimbursements. Pîrlog asserts all his trips were legitimate and professionally justified. He also alleges that the investigation stemmed from political maneuvering within the Ministry of Justice. Pîrlog has faced numerous disciplinary actions, claiming to be the most scrutinized prosecutor in Europe, with many sanctions later annulled by the High Court.
