The High Court of Cassation and Justice annulled the suspension of ROMATSA's air navigation services certificate, previously imposed by a lower court. This decision followed a lawsuit by seven air traffic controllers claiming discrimination in hiring practices. The initial ruling aimed to penalize ROMATSA for alleged discrimination against candidates who completed a non-recognized training program. The High Court found the lawsuit inadmissible, thus restoring ROMATSA's operational status. The judge who issued the suspension attempted to defend her decision at the High Court but was not allowed to speak as she was not a party to the case.
