Greek tourism showed strong resilience in the first seven months of 2026, with a 12% increase in revenue, reaching €13.5 billion. The number of tourists rose to 20.43 million, nearly two million more than in the same period of 2025. Revenue from EU tourists increased by 6.9%, while non-EU visitors contributed an 18.3% rise. Notably, US tourist revenue grew by 7.9%, British by 23.3%, and Italian by 31.6%. However, despite a 7.7% increase in arrivals from Germany, revenue fell by 0.7%. France saw a decline in both arrivals and revenue, with a drop of 5.1% and 16.8%, respectively.
