The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express will add Monte Carlo to its European routes starting May 2027, enhancing its journey to Venice from Paris. The first trip is scheduled for May 10, 2027, featuring the scenic French Riviera. Ticket prices start at €4,870 per person for shared historic cabins. This expansion holds historical significance, as two historic carriages were purchased in Monte Carlo in 1977, aiding the train's revival. The announcement follows the train's recent journey through Romania on its Istanbul-Paris route, passing through Bucharest and Sinaia.
