Venezuela și Israel își reiau serviciile consulare după 17 ani

Israel and Venezuela have agreed to restore consular services and diplomatic relations after nearly two decades. The South American country severed ties in 2009 under Hugo Chavez's leadership. A humanitarian delegation from Israel visited Venezuela following devastating earthquakes that resulted in significant casualties. Both governments acknowledged the importance of their historical friendship, particularly with the Jewish community in Venezuela. This decision comes after years of strained relations, with Venezuela previously aligning with autocratic regimes. The U.S. has also noted improvements in relations with Venezuela since the capture of Nicolas Maduro.
