Vălul islamic, interzis în școli în tot mai multe țări. De la Paris la Priștina • Newsweek România
Austria has recently joined several European countries in banning religious clothing, including the Islamic veil, in schools. This measure aims to protect young girls from familial and peer pressure, with a specific age limit set at fourteen. France and Belgium have similar laws prohibiting visible religious symbols in public schools, while Kosovo has enforced a ban on the veil since 2010. Azerbaijan has also introduced new regulations regarding school uniforms, excluding religious attire. The decision has sparked discussions in Turkey, where some conservative circles criticize Azerbaijan's move, while others emphasize the importance of maintaining secularism. Azerbaijan's government has responded by asserting its independence in making internal decisions.
