Nearly 150 migrants arrived in Crete within 24 hours from North Africa, contributing to a total of about 17,000 arrivals this year. The Greek Coast Guard reported multiple groups landing on the island, including families and an arrested suspect. Greece remains a key entry point for migrants aiming for Europe, with many risking dangerous Mediterranean crossings from Libya. Overall, around 30,000 migrants have reached Greece since January, highlighting the ongoing migration crisis in the region.
