Vaccin anticancer de la Moderna și Merck: Rezultate promitătoare în studiul clinic
American companies Merck and Moderna announced positive results from clinical trials for a new mRNA-based skin cancer vaccine targeting advanced melanoma patients. This marks the first positive phase three results for an mRNA cancer therapy. The personalized treatment, combined with Merck's Keytruda immunotherapy, improved recurrence-free survival rates compared to Keytruda alone. Named 'intismeran autogene', the therapy is tailored to each patient's tumor mutations. Both companies plan to present their findings at a medical congress and seek regulatory approval. Melanoma remains a deadly skin cancer, with over 330,000 new cases diagnosed globally in 2022.
