Radu Miruță and Irineu Darău announced the revival of the Sadu Armament Factory and the resumption of graphite exploitation in Baia de Fier. This decision aligns with Romania's obligations under the SAFE contract, as graphite is crucial for electric batteries. Miruță confirmed a new production line at Sadu, with additional employees and significant military contracts already in place. The government allocated funds to support these initiatives. Darău highlighted the importance of restarting graphite exploitation, which had been previously closed, and outlined plans for international bidding and feasibility studies, aiming for operational activities by 2028.
