Utilizarea Cărţii Electronice de Identitate nu devine obligatorie pentru furnizorii de servicii medicale începând cu 1 septembrie, anunță CNSAS

The use of the Electronic Identity Card (CEI) will not be mandatory for healthcare providers starting September 1, 2026, according to CNAS. The national health insurance card will remain valid during the transition period to ensure access to medical services. CNAS has published technical specifications for software developers to adapt their systems for the new card. Providers are encouraged to update their applications to ensure interoperability with CNAS systems. The implementation of new functionalities will occur gradually as providers update their systems.
