Firefighters in Sibiu responded to an emergency on Saturday after a fire broke out in a machinery unit. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Two fire trucks and a SMURD crew were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the fire was widespread in a concrete protection machine. The teams worked to contain and extinguish the flames, but the equipment was completely destroyed. The likely cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit from a faulty cable in the engine compartment. The firefighters emphasized the importance of checking electrical installations and machinery cables to prevent such incidents.
