Urșii, semnalați de 32 de ori într-o lună în județul Sibiu: au ajuns printre case în 5 localități

The presence of bears continues to be reported in various localities in Sibiu County, with 32 calls made to the local gendarmerie regarding sightings between August 21 and September 21, 2026. Nine of these reports indicated bears in urban areas. Gendarmes responded to all incidents, successfully driving the bears back into their natural habitats. A new sighting occurred on September 22 in Porumbacu de Sus, prompting a public alert. This incident is not included in the previous statistics. Earlier, in late July, a bear was spotted in Sibiu city, leading to a public warning and its eventual capture and relocation.
