Următoarea tranșă SAFE pentru România. De ce depind plățile pentru apărare

Romania may receive another tranche from the 16.7 billion euro SAFE program in early 2027, contingent on defense project reports. The European Commission stated that future payments depend on the progress of these projects. Romania has one of the largest allocations under SAFE, which totals 150 billion euros for enhancing member states' defense capabilities. The first tranche of approximately 2.5 billion euros was transferred in August 2026. Romania's SAFE program includes 35 projects worth 16.68 billion euros, focusing on military equipment, public order, and civil protection. Key investments include modernizing ground forces and enhancing air defense systems.
