Update: Reacția administrației Trump după ce Navi Pillay a câștigat Premiul Nobel pentru Pace. Washingtonul anunță sancțiuni împotriva CPI, instituție în care judecătoarea sud-africană a lucrat peste cinci ani - Economica.net

The United States has imposed sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) following the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Navi Pillay. The U.S. aims to protect its sovereignty and citizens from the ICC, labeling it as an "untrustworthy court." Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized that the U.S. will prohibit any transactions with the ICC, which he claims seeks more power at America's expense. The sanctions, effective for 180 days, aim to block the ICC's resources. The ICC condemned these measures as an attack on international law and vowed to continue its work independently. It called on its member states to support it against these sanctions.
