Salina Turda, a major tourist attraction in Romania, is set to undergo a significant expansion with a €25 million investment. The project will add the Iosif Mine, also known as the 'Echo Hall', which spans 10,000 square meters and has been in operation since 1740. The expansion aims to enhance the tourist circuit and modernize treatment facilities, featuring panoramic lifts, walkways, and an artificial salt river. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2029, with ongoing public access during construction. This investment, primarily funded by Banca Transilvania, is anticipated to boost local tourism and economic development.
