Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai, premiată cu un grant de 2,5 milioane de euro pentru cercetare

Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca has secured a €2.5 million research grant through the prestigious ERC Advanced Grant competition under Horizon Europe. The project, titled RORIENT, focuses on Romanian Orientalism and aims to develop an innovative methodological model for studying Orientalism globally. Coordinated by Anca Pârvulescu, a literature professor at Washington University in St. Louis and a researcher at UBB, the project seeks to analyze the Orientalist literary discourse in Romanian culture. UBB's rector, Daniel David, emphasized the significance of ERC grants in European research competition, noting that UBB has won six such projects, five of which were awarded after 2020.
