Universitatea „Babeș-Bolyai” din Cluj Napoca, proiect de 2,5 milioane de euro pentru a cerceta orientalismul în cultura română

Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca has secured a €2.5 million European grant for a five-year research project on Romanian Orientalism. The project, titled RORIENT, will explore how Orientalist discourse has been adapted in Romanian culture. Researchers will analyze Romania's intermediate position between major empires in the 19th and 20th centuries, aiming to develop a methodological model applicable to other Central and Eastern European cultures. The team will be led by Anca Pârvulescu, an expert in comparative literature.
