Uniunea Europeană investește 100 de milioane de euro pentru a pregăti portul Klaipeda de la Marea Baltică, în apropierea Rusiei, să găzduiască nave NATO

The EU has allocated 100 million euros to transform the Klaipeda port into a NATO naval center, enhancing defense logistics in Eastern Europe. The European Investment Bank approved the loan to modernize the port, strategically located near the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad. This project is part of the EU's broader efforts to strengthen military mobility and support Ukraine. Klaipeda's upgrades will facilitate NATO ship docking and are crucial for the Trans-European Transport Network. The funding will cover nearly half of the project's total cost, with additional contributions from EU member states.
