Uniunea Europeană a primit încă 1,4 miliarde de euro din profiturile generate de activele rusești înghețate, bani care vor fi folosiți pentru sprijinirea Ucrainei

The EU has received an additional €1.4 billion from profits generated by frozen Russian assets, aimed at supporting Ukraine. This marks the fifth transfer of its kind, with total profits from these assets reaching approximately €8 billion since their freezing. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized that these funds will aid Ukraine in its resistance against Russian aggression. The majority of the funds will be allocated through the Ukraine Loan Cooperation Mechanism, while a smaller portion will support urgent military needs through the European Peace Instrument. The decision to use these profits for Ukraine was formalized by the EU Council in 2024.
