Uniunea Europeană a plătit Rusiei aproape 200 de miliarde euro pentru energie de la invazia în Ucraina
The EU has paid around €200 billion to Russia since the Ukraine invasion, but could have spent €475 billion without measures to reduce fossil fuel dependence. Data from Eurostat indicates that from March 2022 to June 2026, payments to Russia amounted to approximately €197 billion. In 2023, only 6% of EU fuel expenditures went to Moscow. Estimates from the Energy And Clean Air center suggest the EU's energy purchases from Russia could reach €238.6 billion by October 2026.
