Uniunea Africană va lansa prima agenție de rating de credit de pe continent

The African Union is launching the Africa Credit Rating Agency (AfCRA) to provide an alternative to major global rating agencies, addressing sovereign debt pressures in Africa. The agency will be based in Mauritius and aims to improve access to capital markets for African countries. AfCRA will operate independently, funded by shareholders and its own revenues, and will evaluate states, financial institutions, and private companies. The initiative responds to criticisms of Western agencies for inadequate assessments of African credit risks. The agency is expected to enhance investor confidence and market transparency, particularly as Africa's external debt service has surged significantly in recent years.
