This decision follows a significant drop in the Danube's water level, which is crucial for the plant's cooling systems. The Ministry of Energy is implementing measures to ensure electricity supply during the shutdown, as Unit 1 has also been offline since late July, further impacting energy production. The duration of the shutdown will depend on the Danube's water level recovery.
